Pre-requisites:
Have you thought about what your campaign is linked to?
Have you prepared your contact database?
Why start with content to create my email campaign?
Creating your campaign from within your content gives you the opportunity to link statistics to this content.
If you don’t create it from within your content, the campaign statistics won’t be linked to that content. Nevertheless, you’ll still have open/click rates for each of your contacts.
To create an email campaign linked to content:
Click on your content (article, ebook etc.);
Go to the “Promotion” tab;
Click on “+ Email campaign”;
4. Name your campaign and choose a template:
You can start from a template, an existing campaign or simply paste your email’s html code;
5. Customise your email using the editor: make sure you add a CTA so that the recipient can access your content 😊
6. Configure the email’s settings: subject and sender’s name and email address, as well as the score that you want to attribute;
7. Test your campaign;
8. Add the list(s) of recipients in the “Send” tab.
9. Enter the date/time on which you want to send the email;
10. Obviously, save your campaign!
To create an email campaign NOT linked to content:
Click on “Marketing > Email campaign”;
Click on “+ Email campaign”;
3. Give your campaign a title and choose a template: you can start with a template, an existing campaign or simply paste your email’s html code;
4. Customise your email using the editor;
5. Configure the email’s settings: subject and sender’s name and email address, as well as the score that you want to attribute;
6. Test your campaign;
7. Add the list(s) of recipients in the “Send” tab;
8. Enter the date/time on which you want to send the email;
9. Obviously, save you campaign!
Now what ? Where do I find my reports ?
This is what your dashboard looks like:
There are two ways of accessing it:
From the content-promotion tab linked to your email campaign;
In the tab Marketing > Email campaigns.
To get a more detailed Excel report, click on the download icon and check your emails. 😉
Tips and Tricks!
The title of a campaign must be unique;
If you copy and paste your email’s html code to Plezi, you will no longer have access to the editor, and it will be up to you to edit the code (Plezi does not interfere with these actions);
To preview the result of your campaign on a mobile, click on the preview button and reduce the width of the window as much as possible.
A contact that features on different lists will only receive your email once;
The score for opening or clicking on an email does not indicate significant engagement by your contact. We suggest attributing a score of 1 or 2 points.
